Millie looked up at him. “What’re you doing?” she asked.
“Just trying something. Millie, you’re now illiterate” he replied.
“Get lost! What’s that supposed… to…. mean..” she trailed off as she glanced over his shoulder at the books… which were now covered in unidentifiable squiggles. Looking down at the notes she’d been making a moment ago, she was horrified to find them equally incomprehensible. Heart fluttering wildly, she stood up, staring at Randy.
“Wha- what did you do to me… I can’t read…” she managed weakly.
“Cool” murmured Randy. “That’s right. Because I said so. Now, when I call you a bitch next, you’ll start acting like a dog. You’ll remember being human, but you will only be able to bark and walk on all fours.”
Millie’s eyes widened. If he could do what he’d just done… “No, please!”
“Bitch.”
The change was immediate. Millie’s pleas broke up into a series of yaps as she dropped to the floor. Pulling herself as upright as she could manage, she stared pleadingly at he tormentor.
